Description
I quickly designed a simple protective sleeve for the fingerprint padlock on my gym locker.
The sleeve helps protect the fingerprint sensor from scratches and impacts while the lock is inside a bag or being carried around.
The USB charging port is also blocked from dust and sweat. When you need to charge the lock, simply take it out of the sleeve.
It is designed to fit the typical Chinese fingerprint padlocks commonly sold on AliExpress and Amazon. The sleeve uses a friction fit, so it slides over the lock and stays in place while still being easy to remove.
I printed mine in PETG, which gives it a bit of flexibility and durability.
It’s recommended to use the manually placed support included in the model to get the best print result.
And yes — the square opening on my print looks a bit wobbly. That’s because I got a little too aggressive while cleaning it up with a deburring tool. I couldn’t really be bothered to print a new clean one since the lock itself is so cheap, and this one does the job just fine.
