Description
Standard 120mm fans are great for general airflow, but they lose pressure and focus in open-air or mesh environments. This 3D-printable duct converts one side of a 120mm fan into a high-velocity directional intake (or exhaust).
I use this as an intake shroud to pull hot air directly off the VRM on my motherboard. Because I use a mesh case, a naked fan would normally pull ambient air from the mesh holes; with this duct, the fan is forced to "reach" down to the motherboard components, providing active cooling where it's needed most.
