We are releasing these GEN4 printable files to allow fans in restricted regions to experience our original design. We listened to community feedback and realized that our previous rubber band locking mechanism was simply too complicated for a DIY build. It required extra screws, T-sliders, and springs, which made assembly tedious and sourcing the right hardware a real headache for makers worldwide.
To solve this and make the build as accessible as possible, we completely redesigned the front-end. This optimized GEN4 version drops all that complex hardware entirely! Instead, it utilizes a brilliant, tool-less 6mm Carbon Steel Ball locking mechanism to securely clamp the rubber bands. It’s an elegantly simple, highly effective solution that makes printing, sourcing parts, and assembling this semi-auto slingshot incredibly easy!
We are currently in the studio recording a dedicated, step-by-step assembly tutorial video specifically for this 3D printed semi-auto slingshot / auto-loading slingshot. At the same time, we are organizing and preparing official assembly hardware kits to make your build even easier!
