Description

This is a mount for upgrading the power supply in the Creality K1 Max from the 150w to a UHP-350-24. This is basically needed for those who are installing my triple-z mod by adding two more steppers.
The mount is simple, does not require cutting any ribs or relocating the factory ssr.

The stock PSU uses two self tappers to hold it in place. We cannot use those as the UHP is larger and much much heavier.

You will need to mock up the printed mount and drill 3 holes for mounting it. The power supply screws directly into the mount, the mount is screwed into place from inside the printer (pictured)

BOM:

  • x7 - M3 heat inserts
  • x4 - M3x6-8mm screws (power supply)
  • x3 - M3x12mm screws (mount to bottom panel)
  • Link to PSU used - Mean Well UHP-350-24

Print Settings:

  • 3 walls
  • 4 top/bottom
  • 25% Infill
  • No supports
  • PETG should be fine, ABS recommended

Important:

  • This mod will require you to drill holes in your bottom compartment
  • This mod will require messing with electrical components AC & DC
  • If you don't know what you're doing, please ask someone who does
  • You are installing this mod willingly. I take no resposibility if you damage your machine or whatever worse may come of that

If you like my work consider buying me a ko-fi ☕😊 Your support is greatly appreciated.
