Interactive Neuron Anatomy Model

August 6, 2024
Description
This model is designed as a teaching tool to learn about the neuron. It was was designed in collaboration with Dr Gwenllian Evans*.
The neuron model prints separately so its easy to print in different colours. It easily snaps in to the board and can be removed by slightly bending the board.
The display board has holes to put labels in for students to learn about the anatomy of the neuron and to try to label each of the part.
The myelin sheath is also removable which can be useful when teaching about demyelination and how it can lead to certain medical conditions.
The removable neuron is useful for showing elements of the neuron to high school and medical students up close when discussing certain conditions such as Guillan-Barre Syndrome, multiple sclerosis, transverse myelitis.
