Description
This is a G.I. Joe Classified scale Triple T for Sgt. Slaughter. This model was originally posted by Cannibal869 on Thingaverse, and features design elements from Jeff Woodward's original scan. I have successfully printed this model on my A1, and created a print profile which has worked for me.
I used Overture PLA, and Overture TPU (for the tracks).
The model chassis can be cut in half to fit better on the PEI plate if desired. I used 15% infill, and tree supports, and left pretty much all other areas as default. The axels are scaled at 90.9% to fit the chassis, and the tracks I scaled down to 88% to provide a more snug fit over the bogie wheels. If you want the track to fit a little looser then scale the track to 90.9% too.
The bogie wheels, and tracks will have to be printed twice, one for each side. I also split the gun body housing in case you run into issues printing it vertically with supports.
Of note, the barrels for the guns will need to be glued into the gun housings, and the circular discs with the two tabs need to be press fit into the guns. Pay particular attention to the circular tabs, they need to face upwards when the gun is facing in the forward direction.
Finally, a couple disclaimers, the missiles don't peg well onto the tabs, it might be the file, or it might be a result of scaling, any suggestions there would be appreciated. Additionally, the guns on the side of my model are rather loose, and have a hard time staying in a neutral position, I believe the circular disc with the tabs needs a tighter tolerance to the body, as do the missile mounting tabs.
