4 Cylinder engine fidget toy

A fun 4 cylinder engine fidget toy.

 

For those that love engines and fidget toys.

To assemble

NOTE: Be sure to print both listed print profiles as the crankshaft is a separate profile as it needs to be printed with its own settings.

 

Carefully clip the crank shaft into the block. I find starting at one end and working across works best.

 

 

Slide the assembled pistons in from the top and clip them onto the crankshaft.

 

 

Finally add the end cog and you are ready to fidget.

 

 

Please note, The crank shaft was a real pain to get printing consistantly. The print profile listed above I have had 90% success from, with the only fails being from rushed support removal.

 

 

If you find a better way to print this where supports are easier to remove, please let me know :)

 

 

 

 

This model was printed in Sunlu PLA+ 2.0. Even though I have designed the model to have some tolerance to allow different filaments (and print settings) and the varied amounts of shrinkage we see you may find parts to be either too snug or too loose.

 

If this happens, please reach out and I will alter the design tolerances of that part for you so you can enjoy this design.
