P1P, P1S, X1C Silent Nano Hybrid Nozzle Wiper

Ultra silent Nozzle Wiper for X1C, P1S and P1P (version for “A1” silicone wiper pad)

 

If you're like me who likes to keep the design of your Bambu printer to look close to stock as possible but at the same time you want to improve the overall experience this might be something for you. It only takes a few minutes to print and around 1gram of your filament!

 

Unlike other designs, this will NEVER interfere with any printer functionality, such as first layer scanning, third party build plates, or any future changes to BambuStudio or firmware regarding how the nozzle moves during the cleaning step.

 

All you need for this is: a superglue (CA glue) and “A1” silicone nozzle wiper pad - you need to cut a 4x2 piece of it. I've bought 3 of these wiper strips from Aliexpress for 1.5$.

To assemble:

Glue the tray at the top of a holder (make sure it's aligned), remove the double sided tape and any of its remaining from the 4x2 silicone grid and superglue it into the tray making sure it sits there nicely and flush. No extra hardware needed, it uses the same mounting screw as the original wiper.

 

I've printed it from ASA, ABS and PETG at 0.16mm layer height (print profiles attached). Other high temp materials should be fine too. I would only avoid using PLA since it's the least tolerant material for higher temperatures.

To note:

Every time the print head passes over the wiper's tip it’s causing it to flex and bounce back and forth. While it may not drop everything that got stuck to it (from previous passes) during the first pass, it may eventually shake it off during next few ones. Please see this situation presented on my YT video below. So if you will see anything stuck to the wiper just leave it there for a few more passes and if later on it’s still there just remove it manually.

 

If your filament is wet (especially) PETG it may ooze excessively and cause more filament stuck to the wiper situations.
