Description
Designed specifically to tackle the intense vibrations of the A1 3D printer during high-speed printing, this innovative anti-vibration system stands out from the rest. Unlike conventional vibration dampers, it requires no additional materials beyond your filament—making it incredibly easy to create!
Inspired by the HVSS suspension system of the Sherman tank, this design incorporates spiral springs capable of delivering powerful damping forces in a compact space. I adapted this concept to provide superior vibration reduction for 3D printers. Each corner of the printer is equipped with four spiral springs for stable support and flexibility, while the TPU core at the center adds extra damping and reinforcement.
This anti-vibration foot is specifically designed for the A1, offering additional cushioning to counter the strong Y-axis vibrations caused by its heavy heated bed. The top of the unit seamlessly snaps into the A1’s original foot pads for easy integration. However, it’s also compatible with most 3D printers weighing up to 12kg—simply add 3M adhesive tape to the top of the unit to secure it to any 3D printer.
Each component is designed with foolproof assembly in mind—trust me, putting this system together is incredibly simple. If any parts feel a bit loose during assembly, consider filling the gaps with hot glue or double-sided tape for a secure fit.
