Description

Note: The current version of Enzo Form Blocks uses slightly smaller extrusions (-1.5mm width). This is not yet reflected in the Fusion file here.

Enzo Form Blocks Community Block Template  for Custom Blocks and Adaptations

With their simple yet powerful design, Enzo Forms Blocks can be used in everything from playful learning environments to more technical applications, making them a valuable resource for educators, designers, hobbyists, and makers alike.

We encourage you to adapt Enzo Form Blocks and create custom designs and intermix them with the blocks of the Enzo Form Block system.

Block Template

We have provided a simple Fusion file that includes the basic block and the geometry needed to create all existing Form Blocks:

  • In Fusion, extrude one or multiple of the geometries to create a block.
  • Round the inner top surfaces of the block cut by the extrusions 2mm.
  • If your block is based on an existing Enzo Form Block, please edit the sketch in the history to change the number on the base of the block to the corresponding Form Block number. This helps users understand your block.
  • Keep the asterix (*) to indicate that this is a modified block and not the standard expected for the given number.
  • If your block is not based on one of the default ones you may remove the number altogether.

Non-Standard Designs

If your block does not interface cleanly with the default set of Enzo Form Blocks, please clearly label this when publishing to avoid confusion or disappointment among users.

Edge Cases

  • Sometimes, the default dimensions or placements may not suit your specific design needs. In such cases, we recommend following these guidelines to promote standardisation as the system expands.
  • Consistency First: Proportional adjustments help preserve the visual harmony and consistency of the system and ensure that your custom blocks integrate both functionally and aesthetically with the existing Enzo Form Blocks and their variants.
  • If you encounter a truly unique edge case that doesn’t align with these adjustments, we’d encourage you to experiment while aiming to retain the modular and cohesive nature of the system.
