Description
Once again I bought a Tablet from Aliexpress and it came with a 2 round pin Euro type plug wall-wart and a death inducing travel adaptor (deathdaptor as Clive Mitchell would say).
Anyway, the innards of said wall-wart were not bad but the Euro plug is no use here in AU/NZ.
The photo should be self explanitory, I removed the 2 pin half of the wall-wart's shell, and replaced it with this one I designed that has an IEC C8 (figure-8/shotgun) connector and a mini switch, the switch is on the low voltage side.
The housing has a solid divider between the high voltage side and low voltage side for added safety.
Remember to play safe kids, if you don't know how to handle mains electricity, this is not the project for you.
