Description
Hi builders of minicar systems. In Germany called: "Carsystem".
This is a holder for a standard 9g Miniatur Servo. Before setting
the servo into holder, preapre it: cut a 20mm length part of 6mm-width
vertical polarized magnetic-tape and glue it on top of a one-way-servo-horn (like pictures show). Ensure to glue it without space on it and ensure to put on the right side - just test
magnetic north / south before.
After preparation of servo, put it into the two holding-arms, there is a small 0.5mm edge to
hold the servo into then you can fix it with two small screws or threads or just glue it.
With a simple servotester you can test the middle position as well as the left and right
position, where your minicar will drive over the magnetic lane later.
With a servodecoder you can program your street-crossing.
Driving through you just set servo-arm in front direction, by driving left, just remember
your left-position on base, the same with right-position.
All together you can make a round hole with about 34mm diameter, put into or glue from Botton to a thin plate of max. some Millimeters, so that magnetic force is high enough to
keep minicar on lane. You can turn the holder with servo on there Z-axis to find the
perfect position in the hole within the wooden baseplate.
Then you can test you minicar-system if cars with there small Neodym-magnet at front stay on the magnetic lane and drive over servo-crossing with no problem.
Best luck and good makings
