Description

Needed a panel mount connector to handle high DC current and had a TON of XT60H connectors. Saw other Thingiverse models that did this but they didn't work with XT60H since there is a slight difference in design due to the cap that covers the solder joints. So I needed to design my own. This two part design sandwiches the small 1mm ridge on the XT60H between the parts which locks it into place so push and pulling on the connector does not move it.

Hole Diameter: 24mm

Default STL is set to accomodate a hole depth of 19.7mm. This can be customized using the includes Fusion 360/step files.

DO NOT edit the "Front" part. This needs to remain fixed to properly seat the XT60H. To adjust for your depth of holes you can modify two different faces using the "extrude" operation in Fusion 360. See the screenshot in the photos.

Inner face can be extruded to lengthen or shorten the inner barrel to extend into a deeper or shallower into a hole that is greater than 13.9mm deep.

For holes less than 13.9mm, you can extrude the outer ring to create a sheathe that will surround the inner barrel of the face part so that out braces against the material around the hole and still sandwiches the XT60H inside.

You do not use the wire caps of the XT60H's. The plastic of this model will cover the solder joints but I also used wire shrink to protect from shorts.

Make sure you put the wire shrink and wires through the back part BEFORE soldering.

The halves are secured with two M2 screws. Length will depend on your needs. Try not to over-tighten as you may strip the plastic.

Either the male or female connector can be used as the embedded connector.
