Description
I have started flying the F/A-18 in DCS World and was giving thought to building out an upfront controller panel when I remembered I had a Streamdeck sitting around from a previous project. This is a simple case to mount a Streamdeck XL to anything with a 75mm VESA pattern. The tilt of the case can be adjusted but it's rigidly mounted along the other axes.
Assembly is pretty simple, see the exploded-view image. The case_mount inserts through the hole in the case from the top and is glued in place, it has a series of flanges to make a secure joint. The central bolts connecting the VESA_mount to the case_mount are 8mm, if you want to use hardware instead of printing the included bolt and nut. The case_top connects to the case with 2mm screws of your choice. The StreamdeckXL just sits inside and is held there by the lid; no need for any other mounting.
Since the monitor mount bar I use for UFC and MFDs is above the plate I was mounting to (see the third and fourth pictures), I designed a set of risers to lift the mount above the bar. The riser is reversible, just print two of them.
The Thrustmaster MFD mounts you can see in some of the pics are another one of my Things!
