Description
This is a mount for 2 antennas that brings them to the exterior of your car while allowing the rain and wind to stay outside. This was designed to be used with the JHewitt Wardriver Kit as seen on wardriver.uk
The mount has a relief built in for the cables and the antennas shown here have a 200mm lead to a u.fl connector. This version works with a 4mm thick glass window and it shown on a Mazda CX-5. The center hole for the antenna connector will need to be reamed out to 1/4 inch. (V4 has bigger holes so may not be necessary)
User may need to adjust for their application. Additional versions may be added later for other autos.
Newest version is WD_Remix_WindowMountV5_2_5.stl (April 2023)
** Consider weatherproofing the external pieces as this is not waterproof (thanks @kismetwireless)
V4 has a mounting bar that aligns with the case that barry99705 created. Simply add the M2.5 threaded inserts into the bar instead of the base, use M2.5 x 25mm long bolts to hold it all together. Case here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5532262
Also works with this case for the HackerBox 089 kit https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5951537
(8/28/2023) Added WindowMount_GPS.stl which has another slot for placing the GPS antenna outside if the wire is long enough. Should work with JHewitt wardriver kit no problem.
(2/10/2024) Added WindowMountSingle.stl for single antenna operations. Came from an idea to mount a Meshtastic LoRA node in the car.
