Stationfall Insert

EDIT May 4 2024: Added a new version of the mini holder, v02, with more tolerance (should be a much looser fit). It is about 1 mm wider - it fit OK in my box, but please measure before printing!

This is an insert for Stationfall. Please note that it's complete but not fully tested in actual games. Everything fits together, but there might be tweaks based on actual usage.

Further note: the default version assumes you are using the miniature bases I printed (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5882570). There is one file marked "VARIANT" which should work with the minis as is (for example, if you paint them). This has been printed and will be physically tested shortly (I am too lazy to take my bases off, so will use a friend's copy).

For the bases version, the right column holds the four characters that don't fit neatly: Cyborg, Drones 4 and 6, Security. For the baseless version, the top right spot is the same as the others as the Cyborg fits like the others.

I recommend a .4mm nozzle as a lot of the walls are 1mm (to save space and weight). I printed several pieces with a .8mm nozzle and they are usable, but there are gaps in places.

Despite the above, this is not the most filament-saving design. I like the idea of a tray with the characters pieces, so I designed one -- and then did the rest. I believe it will also help with game setup as those are the hardest things to sort and find. (You still have to go through the pod/room tokens but that's much easier.)

I'm sure someone will come up with a better version of the Project X holder, it was a pain to do. The mini will protrude very slightly from the box - I don't think there's a way to make it only 44mm high - but seems to flex and store OK.

Lastly(?), some of the tokens get stored in "extra" locations in order to make presentation nicer. If you are frequently needing more than 10 down tokens or more than 24 Damaged/Grey Goo tokens, this may be bothersome. Similarly, the 9th player color is separate - this was somewhat on purpose as we found red and purple hard to tell apart.

NOTE: Variant Project X marker shown in last pic not included and may cause extra lid lift. :)

EDIT: Added "TEST" character holder for testing with a single character so you don't have to print the whole thing.

EDIT 2: Added "VARIANT" holder with no base holder and solid walls in case the mini holders don't work for you (or you want to throw pawns and stuff in with the minis).
