Kit including background and supports

Once you have purchased the box 42154 of the Lego Technic - Ford GT40, you will find in this kit the file of the background of your frame to print by a photographer in 40 x 50 cm poster format, as well as the two supports adapted to the geometry of this Ford GT40.
The two white dots on the background axis give you the drilling locations for attaching the supports.

The brackets are attached using small nuts and bolts of 3mm diameter and 10mm length.
Be sure to choose them with hexagonal heads so that they can be inserted and locked in rotation in the recesses provided in the support.
In fact, tightening with the nut is done from the rear of the frame, and therefore requires that the head of the bolt be blocked in the support.

You will therefore have to drill exactly where the two white points are located to attach the two supports.
The drilling diameter is 4mm.

For the first installation, proceed as follows:

• Secure but do not tighten the two supports.
• Place the Ford GT40 in the axis and while pressing lightly on it, move it backwards until the front support locks.
• Check that the rear support is properly engaged, and with a non-metallic tool push the rear support forward from the rear of the car so that it is properly and totaly engaged.
• Lift the car from the front then from the rear to check that the frame is secure, otherwise redo.

Turn the frame over while holding the car and firmly tighten the nuts.
The car can then be placed and taken out by moving it backwards, while exerting a little pressure on the suspensions.

You will find in the attached photos the support areas of the two supports under the car to help you with positioning.

Print made in ABS Polymaker in the blue shade close to the GT40, the piece being placed on a flat side and with tree supports.

Une fois achetée la boite 42154 du Lego Technic - Ford GT40, vous trouverez dans ce kit le fichier vous permettant de faire tirer chez un photographe en format poster 40 x 50 cm l'arrière plan de votre cadre, ainsi que les deux supports adaptés à la géométrie de cette Ford GT40.
Les deux points blancs sur l'axe de l'arrière plan vous donnent les emplacements du perçage pour la fixation des supports.

Les supports sont fixés à l'aide de petits écrous et boulons de 3mm de diamètre et 10mm de longueur.
Veiller à les choisir avec des têtes hexagonales pour qu'ils puissent s'insérer et se bloquer en rotation dans les évidements prévus dans le support.
En effet le serrage par l'écrou se fait par l'arrière du cadre, et nécessite donc que la tête du boulon soit bloquée dans le support.

Vous devrez donc percer exactement à l'emplacement des deux points blancs pour fixer les deux supports.
Le diamètre de perçage est de 4mm.

Pour la première mise en place procéder de cette manière :

• Fixez mais sans serrer les deux supports.
• Posez la Ford GT40 dans l'axe et tout en appuyant légèrement dessus faites la reculer jusqu'au blocage de l'appui avant.
• Vérifiez que l'appui arrière est bien engagé, et avec un outil non métallique poussez depuis l'arrière de la voiture le support arrière vers l'avant pour qu'il soit bien totalement engagé.
• Soulevez la voiture par l'avant puis par l'arrière pour vérifier que le cadre est bien solidaire, sinon refaire.

Retournez le cadre tout en tenant la voiture et serrez définitivement les écrous.
La voiture peut ensuite est placée et ressortie en la faisant reculer, tout en exerçant un petite pression sur les suspensions.

Vous trouverez dans les photos jointes les zones d'appui des deux supports sous la voiture pour vous aider au positionnement.

Impression réalisée en ABS Polymaker dans la teinte bleue proche de la GT40, la pièce étant posée sur un côté plat et avec des supports arborescents.
