Rod Holder-A Third Hand on the Water

This is a simple TPU print that can be clipped to you or your bag to hold your rod while you adjust flies and lures.

The stock model has a cone shaped channel that narrows from 6mm at the bottom to 5mm at the top. The large model has a channel that tapers from 8mm to 7mm. Both models have a 6mm hanging hole. You can scale the model based on the diameter of the rod used and where along the rod you want to grip.

Rod Holder: suits rods with a diameter around 6mm.

Rod Holder Large: suits rods with a diameter around 8mm

There are two variations (1 & 2) with the hanger hole positioned differently depending on how you want it to hang and what you are hanging it with; I use Nite-Ize S-biners.

I printed with 1.2mm walls and 40% CONCENTRIC infill at 0.2mm height. You can adjust the infill density to make a more or less flexible print.
