Description
The Roxyz does not replace the RS-CNC, it is a more high-end CNC, even more rigid and using hardware specific to high-end machine tools:
Prismatic guide rails.
Ball screws.
Easy to source aluminum profiles.
A real powerful spindle, with variable speed and liquid cooling.
The printed parts do not impact the rigidity of the chassis because they only serve as mechanical holders and secondary parts, they are not part of the chassis itself.
As a result, the Roxyz is able to machine aluminum easily and with good precision, and I almost only use it for this material.
For the machining dimensions, the X and Y axis move 650mm each while keeping a little margin with the endstops.
In terms of cost price, it costs between 2 and 3 RS-CNC32, but what you have to see is that for its cost price, no “ready to assemble” kit on the market reaches its quality and performance.
The Roxyz is powered by the GRBL32bit board with integrated touchscreen, which is a powerfull and cheap solution to easily control any CNC
