Description
Charcoal Filter Container for Compatible Models:
Royal Clima LUX RCB150
ELECTROSTAR BERGEN WVS 135WI-W
This is a custom charcoal container designed for the Royal Clima LUX RCB150 breather. Stock filters are often ineffective against heavy smog and cigarette smoke. This setup effectively eliminates outdoor odors and has a significant service life.
Note: At speeds above level 3, the unit may be louder than stock due to increased air resistance.
Recommended Filtration Setup:
Wall Duct: Install a G4 "sock" filter.
Internal: Remove the F7 filter, but keep the HEPA H12.
Final Stage: Install this charcoal container.
Print Settings:
Filter_cover_mesh:
Top/Bottom Layers: 0
Perimeters: 4
Infill: 20% Grid (this creates the mesh)
Filter_base_mesh:
Layer Height: 0.2mm
Wall Loops: 3
Top/Bottom Layers: 6–8
Modifier Box (Center, 160x80mm): To create the mesh floor, use a modifier in the center. Set Top/Bottom layers to 0 and Wall loops to 2. Use Grid Infill (20–25%) depending on your charcoal pellet size (20% works well for 4mm pellets).
Assembly Instructions
Hardware Required:
Parts: Print 2 of each file.
Fasteners: M3-14mm screws and washers (to join the two halves).
Pre-filter: G3 filter fabric 3-5mm thick (cut two pieces to match the size of Filter_cover_mesh).
Active Carbon: ~300g of granulated activated charcoal (4+mm pellets).
Sealing: 3mm damper tape (or any foam weatherstripping that compresses easily to 2mm).
Steps:
Join the two printed base halves using M3-14mm screws and washers.
Apply the damper tape/sealant around the outer perimeter.
Fill the container with a 20mm layer of charcoal pellets.
Place the G3 fabric on top (this protects the PTC heater and fan from charcoal dust, you can be use other light filter material as carbon foam filter material).
Insert the Filter_cover_mesh into the grooves.
Secure the mesh cover in place (e.g., by spot-welding the plastic with a soldering iron in a few points).
Installation: Place the completed box at the very top of the breather unit, with the G3 fabric side facing up.
